How To: Tammy Taylor Nail Art "Reverse Design Technique"

Happy New Year!

This "reverse design technique" is full of lights and fun effects that can be used year round (not just for holidays). Designs do not need to be complicated to be artistic and have impact. The "reverse design technique" is the perfect example of this; it is a very simple nail art technique that only looks like it was difficult to create.
Apply Gelprisa color gel polish to the entire nail in different colors and cover with Nail Gelz Gel Paintz in Black then create your design by removing the black where you want your colors to show through.

Tammy Taylor Nail Products needed:

Gelprisa Gel Polish -- Gelprisa in "Juicy peach", Chan-teal-y Lace and Pinky Promise are used (you can also use any of your favorite Gelprisa Colors)
Nail Gelz Gel Paintz in Black
"Clean- it"- solution used to clean the nail surface once gel has cured
"Wipe-Its" - "100% lint free wipe" (especially for Gels) leaves the nail surface completely clean
Dotting Tool- for specific details in the design
Bold Striper Brush- for small details in the design
Top Gel+ - to seal the finished design
Peach or Gardenia Conditioning Cuticle Oil- to nourish the nail and cuticle

Step by Step Directions for the Tammy Taylor Nail Art "Reverse Design Technique":
1. Apply a thin coat of the Gelprisa Gel Polish in Juicy Peach to the top of the nail in a wide stripe and quick cure for 2 seconds under a UV light or LED light. (This will be your first color)
2. Apply the second color of Gelprisa Gel Polish in Chan-teal-y-Lace to the nail in a wide stripe next to the other color and cure for 2 seconds under a UV or LED light.
3. Apply the third color of Gelprisa Gel Polish in Pinky Promise, in a wide stripe and cure for 2 seconds under a UV or LED light.
4. Continue the application of the colors in wide stripes until the whole nail is covered. Cure the whole design for 2 min in a UV light or 1 min. on an LED light.
5. Using Nail Gelz Gel Paintz in Black cover the whole nail (It doesn't have to be perfect). With the Dotting Tool draw a 2 0 1 3 (this removes the black so the colors can show through). If you need to re-draw the 2013 make sure to do it before curing then cure the whole design for 2 min. in a UV light or 1 min. in an LED.
6. Clean Nail- Apply enough "Clean- it" solution on a "Wipe-It" lint free towelette to thoroughly clean the surface of the nail.
7. With the Bold Striper Brush outline the numbers using a silver color.
8. Add some white dots to each number with the Dotting Tool.
9. Seal the design with Top Gel+ and cure for 2 minutes under a UV light or 1 minute under an LED light.
10. Clean Nail- Apply enough "Clean- it" solution on a "Wipe-It" lint free towelette to thoroughly clean the surface of the nail.
11. Nourish the nail and cuticle with Peach or Gardenia Conditioning Cuticle Oil.
